A Glimpse into Possibilities: Girls Explore CASP Lakadia and the Bal Panchayat

As part of CASP Gujarat’s ongoing work with schools, which currently encompasses 21 institutions through their school support project, an insightful visit was recently organized. Seventy enthusiastic girls from standards 7th and 8th of Shree Prime Minister SHRI Girls School in Lakadia had the opportunity to visit and learn about the various activities offered at CASP Gujarat Unit’s Lakadia Resource & Education Center.

The visit aimed to provide the students with a firsthand understanding of the center’s initiatives, including tailoring training, computer skills development, and engaging recreational activities. Mr. Parmar, the field facilitator, played a key role in this interaction, encouraging the girls to join CASP’s Bal Panchayat (Children’s Parliament). This invitation was warmly received and generated considerable interest among the students, highlighting their eagerness to participate in such empowering platforms. It was a valuable opportunity for the girls to see the practical application of skills and the supportive environment fostered by CASP.
