CASP Gujarat Unit’s Science & Educational Tour – 2025

For the children who missed the opportunity of the Saurashtra Trip due to their examinations, they enjoyed a three-day North Gujarat and Science City tour in Ahmedabad city. There were 40 children who participated in the tour and got the chance to visit UNESCO’s two World Heritage sites –  Modhera’s Sun Temple and Patan’s Ranaki Vav.

A group of 40 students had a fantastic three-day excursion to North Gujarat and Science City in Ahmedabad. This trip offered its own unique blend of history, culture, and scientific exploration.

A highlight of their journey was the opportunity to witness firsthand two of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites: the magnificent Sun Temple at Modhera and the intricate Ranaki Vav stepwell in Patan. Having learned about these architectural marvels in their textbooks, the children were awestruck to stand before these beautifully carved monuments, each over a thousand years old. A knowledgeable guide brought the history of these sites to life with engaging explanations.

The second day took them to the revered Shaktipith at Gabbar Hill near Ambaji. There, they also visited the source of the Saraswati River and explored ancient Jain temples in the vicinity, each with its own rich history spanning over a millennium.

Finally, the third day was dedicated to the wonders of Science City near Ahmedabad. With a focus on enhancing science awareness and understanding its importance in daily life, the children delved into the latest innovations, including robotics and space science, through engaging exhibits and projects. This tour, just like the Saurashtra trip, undoubtedly left the children with lasting memories and valuable learning experiences.
