Eye Checkup for Primary Identification of Myopia

It was observed that since there were many cases of myopia observed in the project area, an eye camp was planned with the support of volunteers in 10 schools, covering more than 1200 children. With the support of Human Health Circle’s Dr Rajensh Mehta, a newly invented machine for Vitamin A detector was also introduced to detect vitamin A deficiencies among children. 6 children were screened with squint eyes and 130 children were found with eye-sight complications from 10 feet. The study was conducted from the Snellen chart. This activity was funded by Ms Kirstens Poulsen’s Food & Medicine project.
